| The Old Coast Road through El Sur Ranch in Big Sur. This was the old road that people took before the Bixby bridge was built to continue the Pacific Coast Highway. The road cuts through the private property of the El Sur Ranch and would often have fencing on both sides of the road with signs saying no loitering. We only saw one vehicle on that road -- a truck that slowed down to look us over as we stopped to take a picture (but they did not say anything).
