The Great Curassow is apparently a rare bird, so I was lucky to see a small flock of males during an early morning walk along the paths at the Arenal Observatory Lodge. These birds (the males) emit an amazing deep Uuuhm sound that you would not believe! Their curly crest feathers are very motile. They also seem to draw mosquitoes like crazy. | CostaRica_50.JPG |
