We saw Java Sparrows all over the place, but they are pretty timid. We had a hard time getting a good shot of one. This shot was taken in some volcanic dirt by the side of the road. This type of bird is also called a Java Finch, or a Java Rice Bird. It's considered a serious agricultural pest where rice is grown. | _MIK1517.jpg |
