The Canadian Lynx is a large cat, standing about 20 inches tall but is about as heavy as a big house cat. Despite being only found in 4 states in the US, the federal government needed a court order mandating them to place the Canadian Lynx on the endangered species list. The original petition occurred in 1991 but it wasn't until the year 2000 that a court order forced the Fish and Wildlife Service to actually list them as endangered in the lower 48 states. | 2016_01_09_Montana-10879-Edit1000.jpg |
