| The beginning of a coyote howl. Coyotes howl differently than wolves, a coyote's call rises and falls while a wolf's is sustained on one note. Coyotes also are more adaptable to being around people, which is why it is so important to take care not to feed them and let them become habituated. Habituated coyotes are dangerous, although they don't carry rabies.
