2016_01_10_Montana-10931-Edit1000.jpg - Snow leopards are very well adapted for living in the cold mountains they inhabit. Their stocky bodies, their thick fur and their ears are small and round which minimize the loss of heat into their environment. They have wide paws with fur on the bottom to help with gripping steep and unstable surfaces. This fur also helps prevent heat loss onto the snow they walk on.
