Owen Goes To Mexico!

We caught sight of this coatamundi (or Tejon as they call them in Mexico) in the area that we think those local chickens (in the background sleep at night) The are omnivores eating small vertebrates (i.e the little lizards that are all over) insects, fruits and eggs. They will also eat carrion. The tail helps them balance when they climb but they often forage, as in the picture, on the ground. | image002.JPG
