| After 16 1/2 years, we have finally gone back to our honeymoon resort -- Sandals Negril. We hadn't really been avoiding it. It was just that some other trip or resort always came up. In the years since we were last there, the Sandals Negril resort has undergone some significant modifications. And more modifications were underway during our stay. In general, we found the resort to be wonderful! The water sports at this resort are very enjoyable, and the water ski equipment must have just been updated because the ski I was using seemed very new. The water was very calm for the first half of our trip, and that made for not only nice water skiing, but very nice snorkeling as well. About half-way through the trip the weather became a little more unruly, but we still enjoyed every day (except the day we missed because we both had the stomach flu -- that day was no fun). We love the location of the resort, and the (usually) calm waters here. We also really appreciate the staff here. With very few exceptions, the people working here are super-friendly and always going "the extra mile" for customers. For example, our customer rep (Tayshian) was super helpful to us all throughout our trip -- more so than any other Sandals customer rep we have ever had. Anyway, we had a small bit of bad weather, but that didn't diminish our enjoyment. When the weather gives you waves instead of calm water, the adventurous people just go body surfing! And the food was excellent. Our biggest regret about this trip was that we had only booked one week! I suppose we will just have to go back sometime soon. We really didn't take many photos this trip, but we did take some. Those pictures, along with some that we purchased from the Sandals staff photographers, are included here for all to enjoy.
