REVIEW.jpg - We review the key aspects of the resort on a scale from one to ten -- one being bad, and ten being excellent. Rooms: 9.5 The room seemed a little small at first, but we plenty of space for our 1 week trip. The room was simple and a little aged, but everything worked very well. Housekeeping kept the room extremely clean. The four-post, king-size bed was delightfully firm. A stand-alone dehumidifier was nice. Never any noise issues, and we didn't see so much as a single ant in our 1st floor room.Water sports/Activities: 9.5 Hobies, paddle boats, kayaks, water skiing, tubing, and windsurfing. There is no good snorkeling off the beach, but there were so many other things to do that we didn't mind. The water is very warm and clean. They had tennis courts, but we didn't use them. They had a good level beach game activities (for us) -- never loud or intrusive.Bars: 10 A great selection of imported liqour, including flavored Absolute vodkas. Very good bartenders that had no problem making new drinks per your ingredients. Real banana for drinks. Beach flag service!Restaurants: 9 Very good food and service. Only one ala-carte restaurant, but it was very elegant and the menu changed every 2 or 3 days. Breakfast was a pleasant combination of ala-carte entrees and a light buffet. Lunch was a buffet. We enjoyed every meal. Vegetarian choices were always available.Beach/Pools/Grounds: 9 The resort was apparently full, but we never felt crowded. The beach is public, and so got a little busy on Sundays and holidays. Weekdays were extremely quiet. The lap pool area was always very quiet (no bar there). Great pool temperatures, but the hot tub temperatures were not to our liking. There was a very low level of beach vendors, and were not hassled once during our long mid-week walks down the beach. The resort has a very easy beach towel system (no cards). There is a burried chain link fence along the high-tide line that poses a minor hazard for the unwary.Overall Service: 9.3 Generally very good.Reception/Front desk: 10 They have a super easy and flexible system for check-in/out. The staff is very friendly, and they have a great book exchange system for people that like to read a lot.Overall: 9.5 We loved the quiet, but fun environment! We highly recommend this resort, and we would definitely go back!
