  2010_10_05_Yellowstone-10663-Edit750.jpg - We didn't find many stands of Aspen that still had significant color, but we did find a few along riverbeds.  It seemed to me that aspens and cottonwoods lost their color and leaves much quicker than the maples and oaks of the eastern seaboard.  In the 4 days between the first visit to Oxbow bend and the second the trees had lost most of their leaves except for isolated spots like this.
