Red-eyed Tree Frogs are small frogs that make lots of noise. They typically are found on leaves over ponds or puddles where they will shake the branches to attract females (along with their "chack" sound) and keep other males away. After the female deposits the eggs on the leaf and the tadpoles develop they will fall into the water below where they have to escape predation by dragonflies, fish and beetles. | CostaRica_15.JPG |
