Green Basilisk Lizards are also known as Plumed Basilisks, Double-crested Basilisks, or Jesus Christ lizards. That last name is due to their ability to run on the surface of the water. They are also excellent swimmers and can stay submerged for up to 30 minutes. This male is molting. | CostaRica_18.JPG |
