  CostaRica_61.JPG - Glass Frog. These frogs are named so because of the glass like property of their skin on their abdomen which is very translucent to the point that you can see their heart liver and GI tract.  They are small frogs 3-7.5 cm long and mostly green on top with eyes that face forward.  They live in trees and breed over rivers and streams where their tadpoles can fall into the water below.  Captive.
