At the end of the Chain of Craters road, just before where the new lava flow bisected the road is the Holei Sea Arch. Sea arches are not unusual, what is unusual is being able to see one so well. The arch is formed because of the power of the water pounding the lava and wearing it down, the "softest" rock being worn away first.
