2016_01_08_Montana-12271-Edit1000.jpg - 2 of the 3 artic foxes that came out to play for us. Arctic fox are also known as the white fox, the polar fox or snow fox. They have adapted in many ways to living in cold regions. Their bodies are rounded to help minimize the loss of body heat and they have thick fur that changes from brown in the summer to white in the winter. The diet of the arctic fox is varied from small animals such as lemmings and voles, to fish and seabirds. They will also eat carrion, berries, seaweed and insects.
