"I came from over there" One of the many statues at Bonaventure Cemetery, just east of Savannah. Bonaventure Cemetery is a public cemetery with a long history. It started out as a private cemetery on a plantation owned by John Mullryne which then passed to Commodore Josiah Tattnall, Jr. After being sold to Peter Wiltberger, whose son formed the Evergreen Cemetery company it was purchased by the city of Savannah in 1907 which made the cemetery public and changed the name to Bonaventure Cemetery. Bonaventure Cemetery is probably most famous for being featured in the novel and movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". | 2016_06_Savannah_Charleston-10767-Edit1000-SEP2.jpg |
