The view from the Hanapepe Valley lookout over the now peaceful Hanapepe Valley. This valley was the scene of the most brutal and bloody battle to have taken place on Kaua'i when Kamehameha's forces came to put down the revolt led by the son of Kaua'i's last "independent" king. Uninvolved women, men and children along with those involved in the revolt were wantonly slaughtered. | 2009_09_30_Hawaii-10163.jpg |
